The Finance and Planning community identified that key improvements to the way they managed the planning process were needed to ensure that robust plans and budgets underpinned the successful delivery of the Department strategy. It became clear that enhanced functionality, in particular relating to complex modelling and process management, was required over and above that available through the Oracle system in order to improve planning, budgeting and forecasting processes across the Department.
